What Blank Space Label is
Blank Space Label is our own range. We draw the pieces, choose the fabric, set the fit and decide the colourways. Nobody else in New Zealand stocks them, because they only exist here.
We started the label in 2021, five years into the business, because we kept looking for pieces we could not buy. A top that sits right on a size 16 as well as a size 8. A dress that works at a wedding and again on a Saturday. Cuts that come back season after season instead of being replaced every three months.
The cuts we come back to
A handful of shapes carry the range. The Tilly is our workhorse top, cut with a soft shoulder and enough length to wear out. The Julia and the Lucy are the same idea with more drape. The Ariana tank is the layering piece the rest of the wardrobe works around. On dresses, the Caitlin is the easy one and the Rihanna is the maxi we make for weddings and the races.
Once a cut earns its place we keep it and change the fabric and colour. The Tilly, the Ariana and the Harper tabard have all come back in new colourways rather than being replaced.
Fabric and fit
Most of the range is cut in a soft woven or a fine knit, chosen so it holds shape after a wash and does not need ironing to look right. Sizing runs from 6 to 18 across most styles. Our fits are drawn on a real body, not graded up from a sample size, which is why the larger sizes sit properly rather than just being bigger versions of the small ones.
Every product page carries the fabric, the fit notes and the measurements. If you are between sizes, email us and we will tell you which way to go on that specific cut.
Where it is made
The label was made in New Zealand for its first five years. In 2026 we moved production to a factory we work with directly, so we could keep making the range at a price our customers would pay. We say so plainly rather than hiding it. The designs, the fits and the colourways are still ours and still drawn here.
Ordering
Orders are dispatched within 48 hours. Free shipping on New Zealand orders over $150, and we also ship to Australia, the United States, Canada and the UAE. Change of mind returns within 14 days in New Zealand and 30 days internationally, with store credit issued once the return passes our check.
Runs are small. When a colourway sells through we usually do not repeat it.
