The labels

Rodd & Gunn have been making menswear in New Zealand since 1946, and their cloth is the point: heavy cotton, merino, linen and moleskin, cut with room to move. Federation and Huffer are two of New Zealand's most recognised streetwear labels, and between them they cover tees, hoods, jackets and technical merino. Scotch & Soda out of Amsterdam bring more detail than most, particularly in blazers, bombers and denim. Garcia, the Dutch label, make jeans that hold their shape. Ben Sherman for mod rooted shirts and polos. Volcom for skate and surf. Huxter for relaxed basics.

Fit and fabric

Slim, straight and relaxed are the three fits we carry, and the difference sits in the thigh and the hem rather than the waist. If you are unsure, straight is the one that suits the most builds.

On fabric, weight is what separates a shirt you keep from one you do not. Heavier oxford cotton holds its collar. Linen is for summer and will crease. Merino is worth the money on a winter crew because it does not hold smell. Moleskin and heavy cotton chinos wear in rather than out.
